Off the Top of My Head
We just got back from the doctor and had some really good news. From the neck down, it appears that Erica’s cancer is completely clear (for now!) so we’re going to take about a month off from chemo treatment because of the neuropathy that’s affecting her hands and mouth. It’s really important that she can type for work and be able to taste food. We can’t get another head scan for her for 3 months, so at that point, we’ll be able to check up on the brain lesions, but her last radiation treatment for that was yesterday and she hasn’t been getting as many headaches or dizzy spells, so we’re looking good so far. All-in-all, things are looking up, and I am so grateful for that.
In celebration of Erica’s break, we are going to The Melting Pot tomorrow. Yay!
Weekly Earworm
We introduced the girl to Sweeney Todd the other day and this song has been stuck in my head ever since. I mean, I guess it’s not the worst earworm.
The Business Section
Been really hitting it hard with the voice acting auditions! Turns out there’s a whole community out there dedicated to helping you get voiceover auditions. Been scrolling through Twitter, Discord, Casting Call Club, and others just finding opportunities and taking them. Might be paid for a part by the end of the week, even. Not that much, not that big a part, but it’s a start.
