Off the Top of My Head
Today is the 3rd anniversary of my marriage to Erica! Life in that time has certainly been a roller coaster, but there’s no one I’d rather ride it with. This year we weren’t able to do anything fancy, but she has been taking a break from chemo which means she feels good today and I was at least able to get a small gift for her. Three necklaces intended to wear together with a gem, a rainbow heart, and a unicorn. We also didn’t have the kids last weekend since it was Father’s Day on Sunday, so we had some anniversary fun then. We went to a new restaurant (didn’t particularly end up enjoying it, but it was fun to go out anyway) and just spent some quality time together. Here’s to many, many more anniversaries to come!

The Business Section
It’s hard breaking into the voice acting industry. I mean, it’s good that I haven’t quit anything else, because it’s definitely going to take a long time of just continuous grinding to get a foot in the door. The good part is that I really enjoy the work. I’ve said before that this work makes a lot of things in my past just click. One of those things is the ability to work off of someone else’s work while at the same time adding my own creative touches. That is the way I have always enjoyed working and that’s exactly what voice acting is. It’s playing a role that someone else came up with or did the art for or created the story for. It’s the kind of creative work that gives me a foothold to launch off of, and I love it. Still, it’s a very competitive market, and it’ll take a while to get in.
